Dear Friends,
Thank you for your support. You have helped us to further our goal of bringing the arts to every child regardless of their faith, race or economic status.
We have begun our fifth year of programming and hope that it will be the best yet! Just look at some of the highlights of our past five years:
• Joined the Riverview Economic Development Association (REDA)
•
increased our season to offer four shows, including new, Teen show
•
began a Youth Advisory Board for YAI current students and Alumni
• Performed to record numbers at our 3rd annual summer arts theatre camp in Deerwood, Minnesota
• Relocated to a new home, which offers us more classroom and rehearsal space.
• Acquired a performance space within the brand new Paul and Sheila Wellstone Center for Community Building.
• Became a member of American Alliance for Theatre and Education.
• Participated in the Flint Hills International Children’s Festival.
• Was named an Arts Partner of Ordway Center for the Performing Arts.
• Became a member of the International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People.
The Young Artists Initiative offers a chance for all students to receive a quality arts education, with reasonable tuition costs and ample scholarship opportunities. We are able to do this due to our large volunteer base and the financial generosity of individuals and corporations.
We need your support to be able to continue our programs. Please consider a tax-deductible contribution to our organization.
Our sincerest appreciation for your contribution as we celebrate our 5th birthday and bring you our 2008 Season!
Sincerely,
Jefferson Fietek
President, Young Artists Initiative
