Summer Theatre Experience
Pinnochio
AGES: 8-18
FEE: $60


In addition to rehearsing for performances students will also participate in workshops on acting, improvisation, stage make up and movement.

Rehearsals: Sun-Thurs 6:30pm-9:00pm July 12 - August 12
at First Lutheran Church, St. Paul
Performance Dates: August 13-August 16
at The Neighborhood House Theater, St. Paul


CREATIVE DRAMATICS
Ages: 5-7
Dates/Time: Monday July 20-Thursday July 23 from 9:00AM-11:00AM
Cost: $40
Location: YAI headquarters at First Lutheran Church

Summary:
Students use their imagination to create characters and tell stories. Students will be creating masks and puppets as well as getting the opportunity to use costumes, hats and wigs to be able to bring their favorite stories to life. This is a great foundations class to introduce young artists to the world of theater!


SUMMER MUSIC THEATER
Ages: 10-18
Date/Time: Monday July 13th-Wednesday July 15th from 9:00AM-12:00PM
Cost: $45
Location: YAI headquarters at First Lutheran Church
Summary:
Welcome to Musical Theatre (...You have to sing and dance at the same time?). This three day workshop will utilize music from Chicago, Oklahoma, A Chorus Line, Seussical, and Legally Blonde. Working with all different styles of contemporary to Golden Age Musical Theatre, we will learn songs together and then add choreography to them. The final day there will be a show and tell for anyone who would like to come watch. Come ready to hip-hop, hoe-down, and high kick as we belt out some of the great musical numbers!


• All programs meet at Young Artists Initiative headquarters at First Lutheran Church (463 Maria Ave, St Paul, Maria Ave, 55106) unless specified.

• All YAI workshops are taught by certified theater teachers who have degrees in theater arts as well as several years professional experience in theater instruction.

• All staff and teachers are subjected to background checks to help insure the safety of all our young artists.

• Scholarship opportunities are available for all programs.

• Space is limited in all of our programs. So don’t delay!
